It’s frickin’ day oooone hundred!!!!
I want to give you a special gift but I have no idea what.
I’m so grateful that I’m still doing this. Holding on and actually enjoying it every time I write a post.
It feels like post 100 should be focused on the road so far and celebrating how far I’ve come.
I have to be completely honest here and say that I’m not as far along as I originally thought I would be. But hey life happens and not eveything goes exactly how you envision it.
About 60 to 70 (maybe even more) days in this journey were pretty crappy money-wise. Lots of days where it was a choice to budget but if I didn’t I just wouldn’t have enough to get through the month.
I’ve deployed so much patience. Probably meditation and visualization that kept my heart rate down. I dont even wish this on my enemies and truth be told I don’t have any enemies, as far as I’m concerned, but if I had I still wish them the best.
This is not who I was years ago but I just wish for everyone to have the life they want to have whether I like them or not.
Anyway I got sidetracked a bit.
Patience!
I could have rushed into a lot of things that didn’t feel right or change my demands on how I want to work for a company.
Right now I have 3 jobs. 1 for the stability that brings in an actual pay check. Another for a couple of months for a reduced hourly rate but it’s f-ing amazing. Would do it for free if I was financially free. The last one is two days for my actual hourly rate for 5-0. Which starts on Monday.
They’re all okay with me working remote and they’re super flexible. Even the Police! This has never happed before becuase they’re testing out remote external freelancers for the first time and I’m a part of it! ?
- Did it take a lot of time? Yes
- Was it nerve wrecking? Yes
- Did it cause me to go rockbottom? As close as I’v ever been yeah
- Was it worth it? So far yes! We’ll see in a couple of months I guess
- Does it give me the confidence that I can overcome anything? Hells yeah!
