The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America’s Wealthy
Will do a book review on it on Monday!
Been doing some daily liking and following on Instagram and discovered a whole new community. #debtfreecommunity
They’re a really nice bunch and they support each other with whatever someone is dealing with.
My account on Instagram Freedom In Two already has over 100 followers and I only have a few posts on it yet. It’s a tight and motivated community. I love it. 😀
I’m not sure where I’m going with this story but I was positively surprised with the way people are supporting each other online.
Right now I’m following the #totalmoneymakeover (Dave Ramsey book) people and I also found another community called the #barefootinvestor.
This book is written by Scott Pape and I’ve put it on my to read list. No clue what the tactic of this book is but apparently it’s the only financial book you’ll ever need.
The Barefoot Investor: The Only Money Guide You’ll Ever Need
It really gives a lot of confidence seeing all these people online struggle but also succeed. Damn there’s a lot of debt. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.
These are the people that are attacking it head-on. That’s probably only a small percentage. I always thought that most people were living paycheck to paycheck but I didn’t think it was actually much worse.
Credit cards and student loans seem to be the worst of the worst and sometimes health care stuff which tends to be really high.
I’ve been wondering how I can help prevent this in the future. Not for me because once I’m out I’M OUT! I’ve learned my lesson. But for other people. How can I help them help themselves?
Hopefully this blog is a cautionary tale. But I’d like to do more to stop it or automatically make it better. Build some kind of tool that can help all.
I’ll keep thinking about this one. If you guys have any ideas let them know in the comments!
