Time is going by really fast. Since I haven’t really gotten any concrete jobs. I decided to give but since that’s gonna be difficult money-wise I’ll do it time-wise. Volunteer work it is!

Funny how this journey works. Because of this blog I have to read every day so I can update the statistics of the book on the bottom of this screen.

I started reading reluctantly…

But the chapter actually surprised me and once I get into it I always really enjoy it. This chapter was on tithing. For the people that don’t know what it is.

It’s a fancy word for:

Giving

Haha yeah why call it giving if you can call it tithing!

I’ll give the full explanation of why it’s called that in the upcoming book review.

So I started reading on giving x percent of your income. But then it switched over to volunteer work if giving money is not possible (yet).

Next thing I did was browse online for volunteer work in The Hague. And man! There’s an insane amount of volunteer work to be done :O

While browsing I stumbled upon helping people with their financial situation. This obviously clicked immediately and I signed myself up to offer some help. And I signed myself up to receive some help.

Within probably a half an hour I was called by them and both seem to be possible.

I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on the subject since I started this journey. But they have the missing link that I’ve not yet learned.

How does it work locally in The Netherlands and even The Hague? What are the possibilities that I’m not taking advantage of. He already told me some interesting things and we decided to meet tomorrow afternoon.

I will recap the meeting in a future blogpost!

Furthermore if I’m helping people with their financial issues I think I can really offer them value because of all the impediments I’ve faced so far. And it might even give me more perspective on what I could better.

I’m thrilled!
