Day 46

Okay okay. I might have overreacted a bit yesterday. I know the rental company aren’t my friends but I just can’t imagine treating anyone that way. Especially when you see them every few weeks and have a nice conversation.

I would never do that. Their pay ratio is probably higher than mine in my company but I like that I treat people the way I want to be treated. It’s not working in my advantage right now but maybe in the future those karma points will come back.

I can’t expect companies to have empathy but I so want to believe that companies are people too. Maybe in 10 years things will be different but right now I need to live in the now and deal with it.

On another note:

Well it’s actually kind of the same note but here it is:

I’ve sent in my months notice for my rental agreement so I will stop renting from them and have to move on the 8th of January 2018.

I’ve talked about this before on the blog and yes! I really need to get a cheaper place to speed up my freedom masterplan. So the punch in the face yesterday was a good thing after all.

Love this little place I’ve got but it’s about € 200 per month overpriced in my humble opinion. Which is € 2.400 a year that I can spend waaaay better.

Towards freedom and a new home! ?

Yesterday I got some more responses from people that would love to be on my podcast. So that’s another victory! I will take any victory I can get my hands on!

One thing that is still a bit of a stressor is the fact that money has to come in short-term as well. Although I’m fully confident about the long-term.

Anyone has any ideas on how to monetize directly? As in a-la-minute. I have some thoughts but I’d love to hear yours.

I’ve got tons of long-term prospects/ opportunities. They’re aren’t all that likely to happen but I think there are a few solid ones there.

So back to the story of yesterday before I got interrupted.

Had a really nice long talk with the owner of a debt help organization. He gave me lots of insights on things I never even thought about.

Here are the suggestions he had:

Rental allowance from the government (not sure what the English term for this is)

Right now I do not qualify because I’m renting in the private sector. But my next rental place might be!

Healthcare allowance from the government

According to some calculations he did I might be eligible for € 11 a month retroactively (had to look up this word ?) for the whole year 2017.

Beslagvrijevoet

We filled in a sheet together with all my expenses and found out that my beslagvrijevoet. Which basically means the amount of money I’m allowed to have as a minimum income is too low right now. According to the sheet I have a negative € 80 each month. We actually based it off 1250 and I got 1234 so it’s actually € 96.

I did this calculation once myself and it turned out I was getting € 20 to little each month but I didn’t want to risk telling them and find out that I did something wrong and end up with even less. So I never took action on it.

Bank account seizing

The whole year 2017 they were not in their right to do this because my income was already below the beslagvrijevoet. I have to file a complaint which might lead into me getting that money back. Not sure where to start here… I will ask some help with this on Monday!

Get help from an entrepreneurs platform

They’ve seen it all and know exactly what to do in any kind of situation. This will definitely benefit me but it’s € 20 a month which is not in my budget yet. When money starts to flow in I will sign up for this.

Get credit from a special organization

They can give you credit so that you can pay off all the debt instantly and you don’t have to deal with all the crap anymore. Just one giant debt with one company holding you accountable.

Wow that would be soooooo awesome. The weight would really be lifted from my shoulders. But I can’t apply for this yet. They will base their decision on your current income level.

Conclusion

I have some things I can do right away and others that I can only get started with once that money avalanche starts coming down. I’ve got some work to do!

I’m just so grateful for all the help so far. He took about 2 hours out of his busy schedule. Thanks so much!

It was a little spend day.
